To say this to most of you is preaching to the choir. But please share with your "friends" who brag proudly about where they "bought" their puppy.

♥~~~~~ GINA ~~~~~♥ LOVELY FEMININE YOUNG LADY
At 2 years old, Gina finds herself fresh off the NY streets and jammed into a tiny cage at the Brooklyn ACC. Being stuck at the ACC is bad, but Gina is a smart lass and is committed to making the best of her situation. A volunteer wrote this about her: " I have walked this lady many times and she is soo sweet. I think the mark is a scar from a muzzle or something binding her mouth shut. She is very affectionate and full of life. She seems house trained. Her coat's in horrible condition, she has scars and looks like she's had puppies...I hope she can find a home where she is treated the way she deserves..."
There is nothing not to love about 45 pound Gina and all indications are she will make a superb pet, friend, and companion. But now they are saying time is up—Gina is on the TBD list for Saturday, 8/31. What are you waiting for? Tender Gina is ready to leave the building but not in a bag. Please step up for Gina now so she doesn’t die on Saturday! Share and network, or if you can foster or adopt, get moving NOW.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Helper Dog: A0947996 Gina pulls on the leash and was sociable toward the handler during the assessment - soft body. She was calm and relaxed during handling, but became over aroused during the tag interaction and grabbing at the leash. She did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. She put her body between the assessor and toy & rawhide, showing no growling or stiffness. Gina rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor's cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body. Dog's mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 3. Dog is easily aroused, body becomes tense. Dog mouths the rope/leash with moderate pressure, ears erect, and high tail wag. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food: 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away or push her out. Toy: 2. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. Her body is between you and the toy, and she is loose and wiggly. No growling or stiffness. Rawhide: 2. Dog takes rawhide away, keeps a firm hold. Her body is between you and the rawhide, and she is loose and wiggly. No growling or stiffness. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches the helper dog, body soft, tail well above spine level, ears forward.
