The Springfield Republican's coverage instead.) The potential buyer is unclear, though the Boston Business Journal says "speculation is ripe" that it could be Gatehouse Media which now owns the Cape Cod Times and most of the weeklies on Cape Cod as well.

In recent weeks, four communities (West Springfield, East Boston, Palmer and Milford) have voted down glitzy casino proposals which have been years in the making. -
