Good week, bad week
Democratic candidate for governor Don Berwick was handed two rabbits at the Quincy August Moon Festival.
Good week: Don Berwick
In the Democratic primary for governor, Don Berwick has consistently been mired in third place. And as the campaigns of Martha Coakley and Steve Grossman squabble between themselves, Berwick is often above the fray — and out of the spotlight. This week, though, Berwick came out on top. In the latest fundraising reports, which covered the first two weeks of August, Berwick topped Coakley and Grossman — as well as Republican candidate Charlie Baker. Berwick raised $97,000, compared with $83,000 for Grossman, $69,000 for Coakley, and $51,000 for Baker. The question for Berwick: Can he spend it quickly and smartly enough to turn the race around?
It’s happening. The Democratic Primary is right around the corner and our campaign is surging.
Don’t take my word for it, though. Take a look at the Boston Globe this week, who gave our campaign the “Good week” in their Good Week, Bad Week report after we outraised all of our opponents for the first half of the month.
This is an amazing accomplishment, and it's thanks to you—our grassroots supporters. We can't let up now, though. We have to double down on our efforts. Will you please chip in now to make sure we have an even stronger second half of the month? Our campaign depends on it.
This race is going to be won or lost during the final weeks. Right now we're sprinting towards September 9th - and in order to win, I need your support.
Thanks so much:
