Dear Wisconsin,
You have an opportunity to put Governor [Koch troll] Scott Walker out of office and vote for a solid candidate who will represent your Best Interests....and not the Kochs!
Think about your future!
More bad news for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
Newly unsealed court documents show further proof that Scott Walker may have illegally coordinated with “independent” groups like the right-wing Club for Growth.
Will you chip in $5 to help Mary Burke defeat Gov. Scott Walker in November?
While more damaging evidence against Walker gets exposed, Mary Burke has been running a very solid campaign to be Wisconsin’s next governor. Our Daily Kos Elections team recently upgraded the race from “Lean Republican” to “Toss-Up” with this explanation:
When the cycle began, Wisconsin Democrats seemed dispirited after the failure of the 2012 recall. But Burke accepted the challenge, and has proven herself a serious campaigner … Walker may have a small edge, but this is a serious fight.
We can’t control what the federal investigation proves or doesn’t prove about Walker, but we can determine the resources that Burke will have to run her campaign. Scott Walker wants to run for President in 2016, but we can make sure that he doesn’t even get re-elected in 2014.
Please contribute $5 today to Mary Burke's “Cheddarbomb.”
Keep fighting,
Paul Hogarth, Daily Kos
1. Corporate dark-money group Wisconsin Club for
Growth didn't just support Walker's campaign -- it effectively functioned as
part of his campaign, with a Walker aide advising him to tell donors he could
accept unlimited, undisclosed, corporate contributions for his campaign
if the contributions went to Club for Growth.
2. On Sunday, news broke that Scott Walker's
administration agreed to give a $6 million tax break to a corporation that may
lay off nearly 2,000 Wisconsin workers. And less than a month later, the owners
of that corporation gave Walker's campaign $20,000.
I know that Wisconsin can do better than dead last in the Midwest in private sector job creation. I have a plan to help Wisconsin families through creating jobs, prioritizing education, and putting people ahead of politics.
But Walker's allies are pouring untold millions into propping him up on the airwaves. This race is close, and we have just ten weeks to make sure that right-wing outside spending doesn't drown out the voices of Wisconsin families.
It's time right now to band together and make sure that we have the resources we need to fight back. We've got the strongest grassroots team out there. And that's how we're going to beat Scott Walker: together.
