Anyone who has attended ANY college ....sit back and think about the 'sports athletes' that were denied education or even remedial assisitance to boost the college's standing in SPORTS.
The MONEY athlettes brought in was more important.
The 'athletes' were excused from missing classes because...well....they needed to practice and travel or whatever.
Can we stop pretending? Why does this surprise anyone?

Patient Placed in Isolation for Ebola Testing at Bellevue
Hospital 23 Oct 2014 A doctor in New York
City who recently returned from West Africa was taken to Bellevue Hospital
Center on Thursday and placed in isolation while doctors await the return of
tests to determine whether he has the Ebola virus. While the results of the
tests will not be known until late Thursday, the health authorities are
concerned enough about the possibility that he has the virus to have started to
identify and contact anyone who might have come into contact with the man,
identified by city officials as Dr. Craig Spencer.
Ebola panic in Brooklyn: Doctor who treated patients in West Africa
visited hip bowling hotspot ONE DAY before he was rushed to the hospital with
103F fever 23 Oct 2014 Ebola panic has
struck New York City and the fear may already have spread from suspected
infected doctor Craig Spencer's home of Manhattan to nearby Brooklyn, where the
Doctors Without Borders physician visited a hip bowling hotspot one day before
he was rushed to the hospital with a 103F fever. Instead of steering clear of
crowds after his recent return from Guinea, the 33-year-old took an Uber car to
Williamsburg where he visited the one of the trendy neighborhood's bowling
alleys--either Brooklyn Bowl or The Gutter--according to Free Williamsburg. The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
said on Thursday: 'EMS HAZ-TAC Units transported a patient to Bellevue Hospital
who presented a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms...'
Plane passengers
hospitalized due to Ebola concerns 22 Oct
2014 An airline passenger was being evaluated at a hospital in Newark, New
Jersey, Tuesday due to Ebola concerns, reports
CBS New York. Two others were hospitalized after getting off planes into
Chicago. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spokesperson Carol Crawford

potential exposure to Ebola" during the enhanced screening process for those

Ebola: US to Monitor All West Africa
Travellers
--CDC: Programme will start in six states: New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland,
Virginia, New Jersey and Georgia 22 Oct 2014
The United States has mandated a 21-day monitoring period for all travellers
entering the US from Ebola-stricken countries in West Africa. People whose
travel originated in Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea will be given kits to help
them track their temperature and told to provide daily updates to US health
officials. The mandate affects all travellers, including visitors, aid workers,
journalists and other Americans returning from the infected
region.
West Haven Family Quarantined, Complies With Emergency Order Issued
in Connecticut 22 Oct 2014 A family of six
from West Haven has been quarantined after returning from West Africa, according
to Mayor Edward O'Brien. They do not have any symptoms, the mayor said. The
quarantine is precautionary and complies with an emergency order Gov.
Dannel Malloy (D) issued earlier this month to prevent the spread of
the Ebola virus in the state of Connecticut. On. Oct. 7, Malloy signed an
order that gives the Commissioner the
Department of Public Health the ability to quarantine anyone who might have been
exposed to the Ebola virus.
Ebola Study Projects Spread
of Virus on Overseas Flights 20 Oct 2014 Up
to three Ebola-infected people could embark on overseas flights every month from
the three most-affected African countries, according to a new study that
projected travel patterns based on infection rates and recent flight schedules.
The findings, published Monday in the journal Lancet, suggest that Ebola cases
could be spread overseas by unwitting travelers from the worst-hit
countries...The upshot is "that controlling the outbreak at the source is the
most important thing that needs to happen" to prevent the international spread
of the virus, said Kamran Khan, an infectious disease physician at St. Michael's
Hospital in Toronto and lead author of the study.
ISIS shows off new weapons allegedly airdropped by
US 21 Oct 2014 Islamic State has published
a new video in which a jihadist shows off brand-new American hardware, which was
purportedly intended for the Kurds they are fighting in the Syrian border town
of Kobani. The undated video, posted by the unofficial IS mouthpiece "a3maq
news", sees a jihadist showing several
boxes of munitions with English-language markings, with a
parachute spread out on the ground beside. Although it is unclear what was the
bundle shown in the video, the militant explains that "this is some of the
military equipment that was dropped by American forces." [LOL! US tax
dollars at work: Feeding I-CIA-SIS is a top priority. Keep shuttin' off

US jury convicts Blackwater
guards in 2007 killing of Iraqi civilians
22 Oct 2014 Three security guards working for the private US contractor mercenary firm
Blackwater have been found guilty of the manslaughter of a group of unarmed
civilians at a crowded Baghdad traffic junction in one of the darkest incidents
of the Iraq war. A fourth, Nicholas Slatten, was found guilty of one charge of
first-degree murder. All face the likelihood of lengthy prison sentences after
unanimous verdicts on separate weapons charges related to the incident. The
Nisour Square massacre in 2007 left 17 people dead and 20 seriously injured
after the guards working for the US State Department fired heavy machine guns
and grenade launchers from their armoured convoy in the mistaken belief lie that they were
under attack by insurgents.
NATO, Swedish fighters scrambled to intercept Russian
plane 22 Oct 2014 NATO and Swedish fighter
jets were scrambled to intercept a Russian intelligence-gathering plane that
briefly entered Estonian airspace on Tuesday, the alliance said on Wednesday.
The Estonian Foreign Ministry called the Russian ambassador to the ministry and
gave him a protest note over the incursion, the Estonian defense forces said.
Fighters from Denmark as well as Portuguese F-16s from NATO's air policing
mission in the Baltics took off after radar detected an unidentified aircraft
flying close to NATO airspace in the Baltic Sea, NATO said.
NATO jets intercept Russian fighters twice in 2 days over Baltic
Sea 21 Oct 2014 A senior National Defence
official says the Harper government has been given a series of options to
maintain Canada's support for jittery allies in eastern Europe, but the
contribution to NATO's air policing mission over the Baltics will come to an end
by the new year as scheduled. Maj.-Gen. Michael Hood testified before a House of
Commons committee on Tuesday just as reports emerged that the North Atlantic
alliance scrambled fighter jets -- including two Canadian F-18s -- twice in two
days to intercept Russian military aircraft in the vicinity.
Man arrested after jumping White House fence, causing
lockdown 22 Oct 2014 A man jumped the White
House fence on Wednesday and was attacked by Secret Service dogs before being
arrested, a Secret Service spokesman said. "Dogs got him," the spokesman said,
referring to the intruder. Video showed Secret Service agents surrounding the
man on the north lawn of the White House, which was put on lockdown. The man
dramatically punched one of the dogs that attacked him, as seen in the
video.
Hatchet-wielding man attacks NYPD officers 23 Oct 2014 A New York City police officer is in critical condition
after a man with a hatchet attacked four officers on the street in Queens, New
York on Thursday, officials said. Two officers opened fire on the man, killing
him and accidentally striking a nearby woman, who was treated for non-life
threatening injuries. Police Commissioner William Bratton said it was unclear
what provoked the attack, NBC New York reports,
but law enforcement agencies nationwide have been on high alert following fatal
terrorism-linked attacks on uniformed
soldiers in Canada on Wednesday and another on Monday.
U.S. weighs passport, border changes in wake of Ottawa
attack 23 Oct 2014 U.S. officials are
debating whether to tighten controls on the border with Canada and make it
easier to revoke the passports of suspected militants, steps that could gain
traction following two attacks in Canada this week. The officials cautioned on
Thursday that the discussions are in preliminary stages and that no immediate
action appeared likely by either U.S. President Barack Obama's administration or
Congress. While there was no specific evidence of a new threat in the United
States, federal and state authorities were on a heightened state of alert
following a gunman's attack in Ottawa on Wednesday and another by an assailant
in Quebec on Monday.
Canada's domestic terror threat quietly elevated days before
attack --CSIS quietly raised the terror threat level
just days before the attack in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu,
Que. 21 Oct 2014 Just days before a deadly
attack on Quebec soldiers, Canada's domestic terrorism threat level was quietly
elevated from unlikely to "could occur" for the first time in four years, Global
News has learned. Last Friday, the terrorism threat level in Canada rose from
low to medium for the first time since Aug. 13, 2010, according to an internal
document obtained by Global News. The document was distributed within Canada's
intelligence community and is attributed to the Integrated Terrorism Assessment
Centre (ITAC), a team of security intelligence organizations from across Canada.
"Intelligence indicates that an individual
or group within Canada or abroad has the intent and capability to commit an act
of terrorism. ITAC assesses that a violent act of terrorism could occur,' the
document says."
Canada Parliament gunman had
planned to travel to Syria: police 23 Oct 2014 The gunman in Wednesday's attack on Canada's capital had
a criminal record and recently applied for a passport, planning to travel to
Syria after undergoing a "radicalization process," police said on Thursday.
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, 32, was a Canadian who may also have held Libyan
citizenship, said Bob Paulson, commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
(RCMP). He said the suspect had no apparent links to another Canadian who killed
a soldier in Quebec earlier in the week.
Canadian Michael
Zehaf-Bibeau thought to be the gunman in Ottawa
shooting 23 Oct 2014 The man
behind the Ottawa shootings is a Canadian convert to Islam whose passport had
been seized by authorities, federal sources say. While police have not confirmed
the man's identity, sources have told Canada's Globe And Mail, Reuters and
Associated Press that the main suspect was Michael Zehaf-Bibeau...The suspected
gunman, Zehaf-Bibeau, 32, was reportedly born Michael Joseph Hall but changed
his name, sources said.
Obligatory 'hero narrative' emerges in Canada false
flag:

attacker
--'Thank God for Sgt at Arms Kevin
Vickers' - tweet by Justice Minister Peter
MacKay 22 Oct 2014 The man reported to have
shot an assailant on Parliament Hill today is a former police officer with a

sergeant-at-arms in the House of Commons eight years ago after a varied career
in security. He spent 29 years with the RCMP and rose to the rank of chief
superintendent, often serving as the face of the national police force in New
Brunswick. Before his appointment as sergeant-of-arms, Vickers was director of
security operations for the House of Commons. [Wow! Vickers's entire profile/narrative is already available and
in print, even though buildings are still under lockdown!

Toronto Maple Leafs on lockdown in Ottawa 22 Oct 2014 A terrifying situation in Canada's
capital city of Ottawa has resulted in Wednesday night's game between the
Toronto Maple Leafs and the Senators being postponed. A Canadian soldier
standing guard at a war memorial in the country's capital was shot to death
Wednesday, and gunfire then erupted inside Parliament, authorities said. One
gunman was killed, and police said they were searching for as many as two others
in what Gilles Michaud, assistant commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted
Police, called a "dynamic, unfolding situation." The Ottawa police, via its
official Twitter account, warned the public
to stay away from that area while it
investigated.
House Intelligence Committee chair Mike Rogers says he would charge
'traitor' Edward Snowden with MURDER 22 Oct 2014 House Intelligence Committee Chairman [Grade 'A'
sociopath] Mike Rogers made no attempt to hide his disdain for NSA leaker Edward
Snowden on Tuesday at a meeting in the House of Commons on Tuesday evening in
London. Rogers told his Members of Parliament that Snowden is a 'traitor' and is
likely responsible for the deaths of both British and U.S. soldiers. "The [US]
government has pressed charges on Mr. Snowden. We are treating him, as I would
argue, the traitor that he is," Rogers said, according to the Huffington Post. "And by the way, and this is
important, I would charge him for murder," Rogers added.
Christie says GOP gubernatorial candidates need to win so they
control 'voting mechanisms'
22 Oct 2014 Governor Christie pushed further into the contentious debate over
voting rights than ever before, saying Tuesday that Republicans need to win
gubernatorial races this year so that they’re the ones controlling "voting
mechanisms" [!?!] going into the next presidential election. Republican
governors are facing intense fights in the courts over laws they pushed that
require specific identification in order to vote and that reduce early voting
opportunities. Critics say those laws sharply curtail the numbers of poor and
minority voters, who would likely vote for Democrats. Christie stressed the need
to keep Republicans in charge of states -- and overseeing state-level voting
regulations -- ahead of the next presidential election.
North Carolina Academic Fraud Went on for Years Amid Lax Oversight,
Report Finds 22 Oct 2014
Academic fraud that allegedly went on for years within a University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill department frequented by athletes was carried out
largely by two administrators, but thrived amid lax oversight and silence,
according to a report released on Wednesday. The report from former federal
prosecutor Kenneth Wainstein, who was hired by the university, examined how
students--many of them top-tier athletes--were able to take no-show courses in
the school's African and Afro-American studies department, earning passing
grades and helping to ensure their academic eligibility to
compete.
Dallas man's Halloween decor inspired by
Ebola 23 Oct 2014 A Dallas-area man has
taken inspiration from the fear of Ebola for the Halloween decorations at his
town house. James Faulk stacked up barrels marked "biohazard," surrounded his
yard in University Park, with yellow caution tape and crossed his door and
windows with white tape marked "quarantine," re-enacting a scene that's played
out at three Dallas apartments. Speaking to reporters, Faulk wore a protective
suit with the label "CDC Trainee" and a face shield.
