Donald Trump may be a jackass, but he sometimes gets things right!

VoteVets.org

It's simple really: a former Commander in Chief should not accept a $100,000 personal speaking fee for appearing at the charity event for wounded veterans.

But that's what George W. Bush charged to appear at an event benefiting veterans who were wounded while serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He should do the right thing and give that money back to the veteran's charity that paid him to participate in the fundraiser.

But so far he's ignored those efforts - so maybe his brother will help, because that's what a would-be Commander in Chief should do.

Tell Jeb Bush to convince his brother to return the $100,000 to "Helping a Hero," a charity designed to retrofit the homes of wounded combat veterans.

Even Donald Trump thinks accepting the money was the wrong thing to do. And when "The Don" is the voice of reason in an argument, you know something has gone terribly awry.

President Bush should return the money to the charity. And we're sure with all the press attention, and a little nudging from veterans, military family members, and VoteVets supporters, he'll ultimately do the right thing.

We can send a message that the Commander in Chief should never personally profit from those looking to help the men and women he or she sent to war.

Thanks for adding your name.
