It isn't often I travel the MBTA, but I have witnessed some of the kindest courtesies offered by MBTA employees that go without praise or note.
MBTA Operator # 2547 was my MBTA HERO this week!
MBTA Operator # 2547 waited for a clearly disabled passenger to be seated before moving his vehicle.
MBTA Operator # 2547 was so gentle with a blind traveler, explained that because her stop had been moved, he was forced to let her off a distance from the intersection.
She expressed it best when she said 'No one cares!'
[All she cared about was 'getting out' and escaping the oppressive heat.]
Regular MBTA Operators KNOW their regular riders and their needs.
Is this the humanity....the community we'll loose when the Tea Baggers get their way?
