Here’s the truth: ever since we won Wisconsin, the Clinton campaign has gone HARD NEGATIVE against Bernie as part of the plan to "disqualify him, defeat him" and unify the party later.
Why? Because we’re winning primaries and caucuses by dramatic margins, and those victories have opened up a clear path to the nomination. And we have a chance to do very well in Wyoming later this afternoon.
They didn’t expect that, so they’re throwing the kitchen sink at us. Her campaign has scheduled and held FIFTEEN fundraisers in the first 7 days of April, and they’re spending big in New York, a state she led by 48 points four weeks ago.
The head of her coordinated super PAC compared Bernie to Donald Trump, and one of Clinton’s top surrogates in New York called Bernie a “socialist” with a “quest for power” who is not qualified to be commander-in-chief.
But that’s ok – the Clinton campaign’s attacks only remind people of the kind of politics the American people are rejecting through our campaign. If we keep fighting, we’re going to keep winning, no matter how negative they get.
