Been present at each of the impeachment inquiry hearings held before their respective committee.
Questioned every witness before their respective committee
Cross examined every witness appearing before the committee
Have had the exact same amount of time to question each witness as their Democrat counterpart
There is one explanation to the Republican claim of being shut out, THESE REPUBLICAN MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ARE LIARS.

REPUBLICANS follow like sheep...
This invasion by the GOP makes absolutely no rational sense.
The preliminary impeachment inquiry is being conducted by the bi-partisan (24 Democrat members and 17 Republican members) House Judiciary Committee, whose job it is to oversee matters of Justice. This is the same committee that did the same job in the case of Nixon and Clinton. No-one is on trial, there are no cross-examinations, and committee members of any political affiliation have been free to ask whatever questions they wished, whenever they wished, right from the start. No vote was taken this time or on the other two occasions, because there's no need or requirement for a vote at this stage.
It's also a fact that most of the hearings are not "closed" and that proceedings are being live streamed and then archived on the Library of Congress website, which anyone can access. https://www.congress.gov/com.../video/house-judiciary/hsju00

Republicans will break any law and any level of decency protecting Trump. How pathetic is that?!
A band of Republicans with a theatrical bent have stormed the room where the House Intelligence Committee is holding its impeachment hearings. Questioning of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper was halted and remains halted as Republicans, led by Florida representative Matt Gaetz, remain in the room eating pizza, according to CNN.
Update: This group of about 20 House Republicans is barging into the SCIF.

The real reason the hearings have been halted may have more to do with security than with political showmanship, protocol break, and general rudeness. The Democrat-led committee meets in a secure room called a SCIF, or security compartmented information facility. As one former SCIF employee notes on Twitter, all who enter to hear testimony must leave their phone in a locker outside the room.
INSIDE THE ROOM: Rep. Connolly said two-dozen Republicans “stormed” into the SCIF, delaying the start of the Cooper deposition.
He said a few, including Rep. Gohmert, were “screaming,” and all brought phones into the secure SCIF room. (Rep. Conaway ended up collecting them.)

That’s because cellphones are considered “high value” targets for foreign intelligence agents. “Foreign adversaries are constantly trying to figure out what goes on inside those rooms to figure out what the US knows about them, to out US high-level sources in their governments, to know what the US government knows and use it against us,” tweets Mieke Eoyang, who once worked in the same secure hearing room for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Eoyang explains that, after a security breach happens, a set of countermeasures must be completed to make sure the room hasn’t been compromised. That costs time and taxpayer money.
So, to recap:
To disrupt testimony from a DOD official on how the President endangered national security for both the US and Ukraine by withholding military aid, the President's allies further endangered national security by storming the SCIF with their electronic devices.

“. . . in “storming the SCIF” without observing the security protocols, Rep. Gaetz et al, endangered our national security and demonstrated they care more about a political stunt than protecting intelligence information,” Eoyang tweets. “I cannot emphasize enough how serious this is.”
The military also uses SCIFs for sensitive hearings. If someone enters a military SCIF with a potential listening device, it’s considered treason.

REPUBLICAN LIARS!
They knew that what they did was not only inappropriate but also illegal. Gaetz tried to step back from it by lying about who tweeted.
Despite numerous Republicans on the relevant committees overseeing the hearings along with their Democratic counterparts, Gaetz accused Democrats of obstruction for holding the hearing behind closed doors. He and other House Republicans proceeded to storm the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), which is reserved for classified hearings, brandishing their personal devices in an unequivocal violation of the rules protecting national security.
Trump had advance knowledge of and supported the demonstration, which now has police scouring the facility for potential national security breaches.

You may recall that Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) recently tried to infiltrate the closed-door testimony of White House Deputy Assistant Fiona Hill as she answered questions regarding President Donald Trump as part of the impeachment inquiry against him.
Gaetz is not on the House Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, or Oversight Committees, which are overseeing the inquiry, but he nevertheless believed he was entitled to be there. The House Parliamentarian disagreed, and Gaetz was ejected.
Now Gaetz is up to his old tricks. On Wednesday morning, Gaetz returned—and he brought two dozen other House Republicans with him.
