A little NIMBY from Selectman Rogers?
.
...Rogers, who lives 500 feet from the tracks on Plymouth Street. “They (trains) rumble, they sit there, they smell.”
.
Planning Director Ruth M. Geoffroy said the state has just about dropped consideration of a station on Route 44, but a site in Everett Square is still being considered.
Brockton Enterprise
.
One might argue that the reasonable location for a train station would be Route 44.

I'm in favor of a train station down town. Pat's complaints about traffic, noise, pollution sound a lot like some of the casino interests that the BOS made mo effort to discuss.
Interesting.
Everett sq? I never understood that the pedestrian ridership was justifiable. Grant money that Mboro won't receive is mentioned again. Rt 44 makes more sense. Wasn't that where it was initially proposed and Mboro fought it?
44 makes the most sense. Too bad it's near your house Pat. That's where it belongs.
Why worry about the smell of a train? The BOS has had and still has a horrible odor that has left this town in a mess. WIll anything or anyone clean that odor or ill taste? ALL ABOARD...VOTE/SPEAK OUT/
Pat Rogers previously served on the BOS. When he campaigned vigorously last time, he only won by about 100 votes against an unknown candidate who was out of the country before the election. At least some voters had some sense.
Pat, Wait until the casino comes with 24/7 traffic, noise and drunks on the road.
It's odd that Pat would comment on the poor attendance at one meeting he attended. I have never seen him at any of the meetings I attended.
If we had a cable committee that wasn't inert, we'd have our own department that broadcast many of these meetings using the funds that townspeople pay for.
After watching the stupid comments he made about the PTWS, how stupid of me to expect anything sensible from him.
Will somebody tell the man that the PTWS could be replaced for FREE?
Pat has refused to educate or inform himself on any issue which is why he fits right in.
Time for change in April.
You reminded us that Pat Rogers was one of 2 selectman who would have voted for dagistina for town manager because he was too lazy to check the internet and because bob saget said so. As usual he's focused on the wrong thing.
No wonder he works for the state. That says it all.
Mr. Rogers ignored the power plant in Brockton because it wasn't near his home and spent countless hours trying to get on the RTF where he didn't belong. The man's got his priorities confused.
Rogers is the next one who needs the heave. Isn't he up for election next? We need brains, leadership and dedication on the BOS. So far we have none of those qualities. Are you considering a run in the future?
Is this the blog Rogers was referring to???
This BOS in becoming insular in opinion and secretive again. You accomplished a great deal and the BOS seemed to grasp your intent.
Now we're regressing as a town.
Bravo to those who wrote letters and insisted that Mrs. Duphily respond publicly where the response belonged.
What a shame you can't send an email and accomplish the same thing. It's clear they don't want to be bothered.
Give Marsha her gavel back and we'll be in the same place again.
Didn't vote for him wont next time Since this began, I atended meetings in other towns because I wanted to know if what you wrote made sense. What I witnesed would disgrace Middleborough. Taveris in Plymouth impresed me and Yeats in Lakeville. Others too.
They're is no one I would vore for on the board.
