Urgent Part 2 - Urgent Death Row Dogs shared a photo.

Rosie's world fell apart on 4/13. Before that, she lived with a family who took reasonable good care of her, and from her fearful reactions at the ACC, Rosie misses family life, terribly. It is often the dogs who have experienced the comforts of home who are the most fearful upon their arrival at the ACC. The ACC does not have time to nurture fearful dogs like Rosie, and they are often ignored. Sweet Rosie is out of time tonight, so please help her find a new family right away. Tomorrow will be too late.

Taino is no stranger to the acc environment. He was originally adopted from there a few years ago. This poor guy was sent back to the one place that he hoped to never see again. Taino was surrendered due to allergies. (What a lame excuse to dump your pet back at a high kill shelter) Taino is one handsome dude and also very sociable. He would make someone a wonderful companion if given the opportunity. Taino was diagnosed with a skin condition called atopy, but that shouldn't stop you from wanting to save his life. Right? Please do whatever you can to save this lovely cat from a cruel fate. He deserves a happily ever after and not a death sentence. Contact our rescue groups immediately if you can foster or adopt Taino.

Left To Die In a Box, Rescued by a Hero, Now Needs HELP!

Poor Bean was abandoned in a box with no ventilation, no food, no water, and very little hope of survival. Miraculously, the 4 lb pup was rescued by a Piper, a devoted rescuer who has saved multiple death row dogs we've posted on Pet Pardons. When Piper found Bean, he was dehydrated, covered in fleas, and using his last bit of energy to whimper for help.

An urgent trip to the vet revealed that Bean also has advanced patellar luxation in one of his rear legs that needs to be operated on as soon as possible. We hate knowing that this sweet boy is in pain after all he's been through!

Dogs are family

Code enforcement officer Clinton "Doc" West saved a dog's life and got his abuser arrested after reportedly witnessing the dog being viciously beaten by his owner.

A city code enforcement officer saved a dog after reportedly witnessing the dog being viciously beaten by his owner.

The Carlsbad Current-Argus reported that Clinton "Doc" West was off duty and at home when he claims he heard a dog crying. He went to investigate and said he saw a young man repeatedly beating a dog inside a blue Ford van until the dog stopped making any noise. He said that he then saw the man get out of the van and wash his hands under a nearby sprinkler before returning to his vehicle.

The man, later identified as 23-year-old Kerry Diamond, started to drive away and which point West followed after Diamond in his car and contacted police.

Police responded to West's call and stopped Diamond. When they asked Diamond about the dog's injuries, he reportedly told them the dog was attacked by a "very big cat". Police arrested him and took the dog to Animal Control to receive medical attention. The dog appears to have suffered a broken jaw and severe bruising to the head. Dr. Blake Murray told the newspaper that if the dog had been hit just a few more times he likely would have died.

Diamond has been charged with extreme cruelty to animals and the dog remains in Animal Control's care.
