IN THE RECESSION WEALTHY DONORS OPTED OUT: Interesting report on NPR, based on a study by the Chronicle of Philanthropy: During the recession, “The less well-off of America's citizens became more generous when giving to charity. But at the same time, wealthy Americans cut the proportion of their incomes they donated.” It’s pretty stark and it speaks rather directly to our fundraising efforts.
