Nearly 11 years ago, same-sex couples began marrying here in Massachusetts, the first state in the nation to enact marriage equality.
Mary Bonauto, the pioneering lawyer who won Goodridge v. Department of Public Health, the case that led to marriage equality in Massachusetts, is arguing today at the Supreme Court in cases that could lead to marriage equality throughout the country.

Marriage equality is about love, of course, but it’s also about family stability, hospital visitation rights, adoption, inheritance rights, access to insurance – the everyday rights afforded by marriage that are taken for granted by millions of straight couples.
It’s time to make history. Add your name now for marriage equality >>
Thank you,
Jim
