FY2016 Local Aid Estimates

FY2016 Local Aid Estimates Based on the Senate Final Budget
The FY2016 local aid estimates based on final Senate action on proposed amendments to the Senate Ways & Means Committee (SWM) budget have been posted to the Division of Local Services website at the link below:
http://www.mass.gov/dor/local-officials/municipal-data-and-financial-management/cherry-sheets/
The estimates based on the final FY2016 Senate budget are largely the same as the SWM estimates published earlier, except for a $4.5 million increase for charter school reimbursements, a $2.5 million increase for regional school transportation and small increases to both the regional public library and public library aid accounts.
Local aid estimates for charter school tuition and charter school tuition reimbursements are based on estimated tuition rates and projected enrollments under charters previously issued by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. Please be advised that charter school assessments and reimbursements will change as updated tuition rates become available. Estimates for the School Choice assessments may also change significantly when updated to reflect final tuition rates.
If you have questions about these estimates, please call the Databank/Local Aid Section at (617) 626-2384.
