We get a lot of feedback on the tone of our fundraising appeals, both critical and supportive. We are certainly able to adjust the tone of our messages, however we cannot dictate what messages the Readers respond to. We are constrained by what works and what does not. A clue: Fundraising appeals drawing on unicorns and rainbows for inspiration normally don't perform well ... sigh.
We love you guys.
