Recently, both the Governor and the Speaker of the House have announced their support for tax policy reforms aimed at reducing corporate tax avoidance. Both have also proposed using revenue raised by reducing tax avoidance to pay for a corporate tax rate cut. The rate cut proposed by the Speaker would be significantly larger and would begin sooner than that proposed by the Governor. This MassBudget Brief describes these two proposals and some alternatives.

Although the comments you are addressing seem important. Don't you feel there are more important issues dealing more directly with the towns more severe problems such as budget, layoffs, slacking departments, etc? We do enjoy your comments but feel there are many other topics of interest that you are quite capable of addressing in the proper way to get more of a response regarding the recent BOS meetings, etc. Thank you for your input on numerous matters.
A number of comments and criticisms have been sent my way regarding my silence on Town Government issues.
If you've been watching the BOS, you know there's no lack of material!
I would caution all that it's your town and it's important for you to decide how you want it run.
Please stay involved and engaged and encourage others as well.
Some people need an invitation. Some are fearful of attending meetings. One woman told me that she didn't know she could attend the meetings she watched on tv.
You're invited! It's your town.
