Because US public education has become so poor, most Americans won't grasp the alarming significance of the METHANE GAS issue, read the article below anyway:
Methane is a potent greenhouse gas that traps 86 times more heat as CO2 does over a 20-year period.
Scientists have warned that methane emissions from the natural gas industry are a significant contributor to climate change, and in 2013, President Obama’s Climate Action Plan stated that “curbing emissions of methane is critical to our overall effort to address global climate change.”
A SPECIAL
APPEAL TO LARGER DONORS: Many of our donors give us what they can when they can.
In some cases it may not be a lot but it's important to them to toss something
in the hat, (important to us too). We're making a special appeal to Leadership
Sustainers who may be able to provide somewhat more substantial support. If
that's you, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks sincerely to all. / Marc Ash,

Using the Ocean to Provide Heat to Low-Income Residents
Joanna M. Foster, ThinkProgress
Foster writes: "Very few people, however, think of the oceans as a vast source of renewable heat that can be used to keep homes warm and showers steaming. But that's exactly what a growing number of seaside towns in northern Europe are doing, despite having some particularly chilly ocean water."
