What a sad commentary on the GOP's failures that priority is given to funding wars and not on crumbling infrastructure.
Here in Massachusetts, we have over 400 bridges rated as structurally deficient. They need repair, but House Republicans are currently dragging their feet on extending funding for the Highway Trust Fund, which expires at the end of this month.
The Highway Trust Fund is the main source of funds for repairing and maintaining our roads and bridges, and letting it run out is bad for safety and our economy.
Will you add your name to call for action to fully fund the Highway Trust Fund?
Not only does fully funding infrastructure repairs ensure Americans can travel safely, but it also would create thousands of construction jobs, putting many Americans back to work.
A crumbling and out of date transportation system affects all aspects of our economy – and it’s just plain dangerous.
That’s why I hope you’ll join me now and call for full funding for the Highway Trust Fund!
Thank you,
Jim
