If you’re coding the software used in a self-driving car, you’d better get it right—but the current processes for stress-testing autonomous vehicle software may not be adequate. Phil Koopman, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, has a project called ASTAA that could make stress-testing self-driving cars much safer.
