Okay, I have had enough of the BS about Clinton's email server. I am a person that is an IT professional and in fact am the person that designed, developed and implemented the Defense Department's enterprise email systems - unclassified and classified. These are well protected systems, and so was Clinton's email system. In fact, there is NO indication that there was any actual security problem with her system. I am familiar with the State Department's internal email systems, and they are, frankly, not that easy to use outside their internal network, and at the time, very hard to use on a mobile device. Most people at the time got around the State Dept systems by using gmail. Clinton's choice was much better than that. Also, at the time, we were all struggling how to work with mobile devices and how to handle senior executives. Clinton chose, like MANY other people before and after her, to use a system outside the core network. Now we have better systems to handle email and security, particularly on mobile devices, and so this would not currently be the best choice. Regarding the fact that some information send on Clinton's system was retroactively declared to be classified is not any indication of some kind of crime. Any emails that were actually marked with classified information turn out to be mis-classified. Again, not a crime. Nor was using the Clinton email system a crime. This entire issue is actually nonsense. However, what the Bush administration did was actually several crimes. They used the email system of the Republican National Committee to conduct government business. That is illegal. When they were caught, they deleted all 22 million emails, which is destruction of evidence, which is another crime.
