They were white. Most were young. The town an affluent enclave, isolated from the urban violence we ignore. They believed they were 'safe' to grow up, safe from the street violence, drive-by shootings that we ignore.
It gripped the nation.
Do we ignore the + 500 innocents killed in Chicago gun violence because they're black?
When we reflect on 'Gun Control' shouldn't we consider all Americans?
Why should black Chicago kids be forced to stay indoors, stay late at school and hide, simply to feel safe?
This is what the failure of national gun control limits has caused - children hiding to avoid being killed.
