‎***EMERGENCY ALERT*** DIES TOMORROW---- Our friends in West Virginia need our help- These precious souls have TOMORROW to secure a rescue or home- (The shelter Euthanizes very early on Tuesday morning (thus) they really only have tonight and tomorrow morning / afternoon to be networked- If you can help please email or call first thing in the AM---- PLEASE DO NOT CALL if you can NOT HELP---- This shelter is very small and I don't want a potential adopter to be passed over because the line was busy- THese babies need us guys----- PLEASE SHARE TO THE MOON AND BACK TONIGHT! SHELTER INFO --- THE BOONE COUNTY DOG POUND IS LOCATED AT FOSTERVILLE PAST SETH ON RT 3 in WEST VIRGINIA ------ Email and Phone Number are located ON PHOTO-----

In love with this big baby boy, he is sweet, but since he is in a shelter that only allows bully breeds to be Rescue only, he needs a rescue to pull. Please share handsome, he's a keeper!!! Carrollton, Texas Animal Shelter.

He arrived as a stray. He is a big boy who so far has not shown any issues with other dogs who come to say hi to him. He is a sweet loveable lug who wants to find a safe and happy home with people who understand the needs of him and his breed. We think him to be 1-3 years old and he weighs 68 pounds. Hercules comes to us as a stray. He arrived as a stray. He is a big boy who so far has not shown any issues with other dogs who come to say hi to him. He is a sweet loveable lug who wants to find a safe and happy home with people who understand the needs of him and his breed. We think him to be 1-3 years old and he weighs 68 pounds.
Pit Bulls like Hercules must go to a 501c3 tax-exempt animal rescue agency who can screen potential adopted to be sure he is going to a safe and experienced home

Brooklyn Center ADORABLE - A0957743 FEMALE, BLACK, LABRADOR RETR MIX, 1 yr STRAY - STRAY WAIT, NO HOLD Reason STRAY Intake condition NONE Intake Date 02/19/2013, From NY 11413, DueOut Date 02/22/2013, I came in with Group/Litter #K13-128968 Medical Behavior Evaluation BLUE Medical Summary Scan negative BARH AMbx4 Nervous, but allowed handling Female ~1yr Nosf Weight 44.0 Behavior: Average Adorable pulls a bit on the leash and was sociable toward the handler during the assessment - soft body, low wag. She was shy and nervous during handling, but had soft body language. She was relaxed when playing tag with assessor. She did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. Adorable was easy to handle when chewing on toys and rawhides and was relaxed when approaching the helper dog, but was not playful. Look: 1. Dog's eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor's cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, body stiff, mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 1. Dog stands with her tail low and wagging, and comes toward the Assessor in a friendly manner when the Assessor ceases moving. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food: 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away or push her out. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in toy, dog may smell or lick, then turns away. Rawhide: 1. Minimal interest in rawhide, dog may smell or lick, then turns away. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches the helper dog, body soft, tail well above spine level, ears forward. It ties up phones lines and is a waste of the staff's time to explain the adoption procedure over the phone for someone who is purposely not going to show up. They need every free second of their time to answer calls, assist actual adopters, process intakes, and care for the animals. More importantly, they will note the dog’s file that an adopter is en route which will prevent an actual adopter from saving the dog. This is considered a "fake adoption" hold and that is how dogs fall through the cracks and end up being killed. For more information on a particular dog, email adoption@nycacc.org but ONLY if serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go unnoticed.
