TRUMP'S IRRATIONAL TWITTER RANTS

President Trumps tweets of the day! He’s seriously losing his mind. He’s digging himself in deeper. I would think his lawyers would have taken away his shovel!
“The tweets are more evidence of Trump’s corrupt intent, which Mueller would need to prove in order to make an obstruction case," former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti said.

Trump's latest attack on Cohen came days after the lawyer pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about plans to build a Trump Tower in Russia.

The Trump witness tweets blasting Cohen and hailing Stone drew criticism from legal analysts who said it looks the president – who has pardon powers – is trying to influence or threaten people who may testify about his actions.
"This is genuinely looking like witness tampering," said Neal Katyal, former U.S. acting solicitor general and Georgetown law professor. "The fact it's done out in the open is no defense. Trump is genuinely melting down."
Sen. Mark Warner, D-Virginia, top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, called the tweets a "serious" breach, and said the president "should not be using his platform to influence potential witnesses in a federal investigation involving his campaign."

In the tweet about Cohen, Trump mocked his ex-lawyer's request for no prison time after his guilty plea agreement with the special counsel. He said Cohen "makes up stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself."
And amid reports that Cohen may provide embarrassing information on Trump, the president tweeted about the "guts" of Stone:
"'I will never testify against Trump.' This statement was recently made by Roger Stone, essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about 'President Trump.' Nice to know that some people still have 'guts!'”
Trump's latest attack on Cohen came four days after the lawyer pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about negotiations during the 2016 election year on plans to build a Trump Tower in Russia.
The plea is part of a deal Cohen struck with Mueller's office, which is investigating whether Trump's campaign worked with the Russians as they meddled in the 2016 election by hacking Democratic emails, seeking to benefit Trump's campaign.
Many legal analysts said Cohen may information on the Russian plot that he will provide Mueller.
After his plea, Cohen and his lawyers asked a federal judge to spare him prison time, a request that irked the president.

"You mean he can do all of the TERRIBLE, unrelated to Trump, things having to do with fraud, big loans, Taxis, etc., and not serve a long prison term?" Trump said on Twitter.
Trump, who has denied collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign, also said: "He lied for this outcome and should, in my opinion, serve a full and complete sentence."
Stone, meanwhile, has said he suspects Mueller may indict him on allegations that he had advance knowledge that the WikiLeaks website would release Democratic emails purloined the Russians.
Stone has denied the allegations and, like Trump, has accused Mueller of running a politically motivated investigation.
Mueller's office is also investigating Trump over claims he has tried to obstruct justice in the Russia investigation. Trump has denied it, saying he is only "fighting back" against what he sees as overzealous prosecutors.
Trump's tweets and other statements – including his suggestion he may consider a pardon for former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, another key witness – could be used against him, legal analysts said.
"The tweets are more evidence of Trump’s corrupt intent, which Mueller would need to prove in order to make an obstruction case," former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti said.
