Allegra!

Let's celebrate & support the HEROES!

"Allegra" Video Update:
Progress is slow, but steady.
With fearful dogs, it is so important to make interactions positive.
You will hear her growl at me, to reprimand her, would regress her. She is telling me, I am afraid. Someone hurt me before & if you don't back away & since I can't run away from you, I may bite.
She is warning me.
So I only pet her long enough, that she sees, I'm not going to hurt her. And I don't push her buttons for very long. But if I go away every time she growls, it will only reinforce the behavior.
It's a delicate balance, to bring her back to life.
It isn't magic & I know people want updates, but a dog like this, with deep emotional baggage, can take months to years to rehabilitate.
She is already, better than she was & in time, my hope is that she will Love Life, People & other dogs:)
