According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, mining produces more toxic waste than any other industry, making up about 25% of the entire U.S. toxics inventory. NRDC's Joel Reynolds discusses mine safety in the Los Angeles Times.
On Aug. 5, at the abandoned Gold King mine in southwest Colorado, a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency cleanup team inadvertently unleashed into a tributary of the Animas River a 3-million-gallon soup of toxic mining wastewater.

Chubby Nebbish Karl Rove attacks Clean Energy with 'falsehoods' [propaganda], Toxic Colorado River Spill, Corporate Media....

Duck & Cover when the Chubby Nebbish of Propaganda and Misinformation provides his Horse Manure!

In reality, the Clean Power Plan is projected to cut the average American's monthly electricity bill by 7% in 2030.
Independent analyses agree with the EPA that the Clean Power Plan will significantly lower electric bills once it's fully implemented.

I'll just leave this right here ...

There are no words to describe how reprehensible this is!

This just makes me shake my head in disbelief. Yes a USEPA "contractor" did this... completely screwed up. I am not a fan of the USEPA for scores of reasons. The fact they said we have nothing to worry about because the river is already dead is a good place to start. Lest we forget this crap wouldn't have been their for not the illegal corporate mining activities for the past 25-years that impounded this mess.
But when did ridiculously stupid bad behavior become part of any party's political agenda! This meme just plays the the emotions of the simple minded.
Oil spills are bad, chemical spills are bad, coal ash spills are bad...irresponsible people doing bad shit and polluting the Evironment that belongs to us all is bad. Stop the hate and wasted time arguing and play by the rules.
I would advocate rolling back all regulations ten years if industry would simple agree to follow the rules. That's their problem they still operate outside the regulation as they don't apply to them!

"[T]he point here is not right wing or even left wing. The point is that the tendency of corporate America is not to discuss at length the real issues that impact ordinary people. If you owned a television station, for example, do you think you'd be talking about the impa...
