Don’t slam D.C. for the shutdown, America: You sent these wackos here

Shutdown madness....

Shutdown madness....

Article | Politics, Etc. | October 6, 2013 - 7:59am | By State House News Service

The week's wackiest stories

HOUSE RULES: The federal government shut down. You can't go to the hall part of Faneuil Hall, or to the Cape Cod National Seashore, nor to the JFK Library. Parking lots and offices at the Cape Cod National Seashore have signs which read, “closed due to government shutdown.” Park superintendent Price said, “The impact for visitors is pretty intense. Roughly 120 workers were furloughed, including himself, but hey, it's a really nice day out, so if you're furloughed, go to some lovely, open, state park and enjoy yourself.

Academic institutions and research centers that rely on federal funding were also affected, including the Woods Hole Science Aquarium. A spokeswoman for the aquarium, who was furloughed Tuesday, could not be reached for comment, however. Her e-mail address sent out an automatic reply saying, “I am currently unavailable to take e-mails or phone calls due to the lapse in FY14 appropriations. If you leave a message, I will be unable to respond until an appropriations bill has passed and operations are resumed. I sincerely regret this inconvenience.”

This, that and Tea Baggers

How pathetic is it that the Tea Bagger Extremists keep digging themselves into a deeper hole?

The desire to remain informed and listen to such HORSE MANURE is overridden by the rising sense of nausea by the public display of amazing ignorance.

Nebraska Congressman Lee Terry shut down the government and furloughed 800,000 workers, but he won't give up his paycheck because he has a nice house.

An excellent "I am not ashamed" badge in support of our #nationalpark rangers! We stand with our rangers who are doing an incredible job protecting national parks, while being put in an incredibly difficult situation. We hope all those furloughed are able to get back to work doing what they love soon.

Feel free to share!

NC Tea Bagger Renee Ellmers NEEDS her paycheck!

If you're gonna force others to go without PAY, shouldn't you do the same?

That's the problem with the Tea Bag Extremists!

It's time to replace the CLOWNS!
North Carolina Representative Renee Ellmers shut down the government and furloughed 800,000 workers, but she thinks she is still entitled to pay. #scumoftheearth

Pentagon Spent $5 Billion on Weapons on Eve of Shutdown

Food for thought.....

Pentagon Spent $5 Billion on Weapons on Eve of Shutdown 01 Oct 2013 The Pentagon pumped billions of dollars into contractors' bank accounts on the eve of the U.S. government's shutdown that saw 400,000 Defense Department employees furloughed. All told, the Pentagon awarded 94 contracts yesterday evening on its annual end-of-the-fiscal-year spending spree, spending more than five billion dollars on everything from robot submarines to Finnish hand grenades and a radar base mounted on an offshore oil platform. To put things in perspective, the Pentagon gave out only 14 contracts on September 3, the first workday of the month.
