US nutjobs trying to start World War III: 3,000 troops and military hardware from 3rd Infantry Division heading to Eastern Europe | 9 Mar 2015 | Thousands of troops and major hardware from the Army's 3rd Infantry Division are heading to the Baltic region to reassure NATO allies fearful of Russian aggression, according to the Pentagon. Approximately 3,000 soldiers from the division's 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team are bringing approximately 750 vehicles and pieces of heavy equipment with them, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery pieces and helicopters. The gear arrived Monday via ship in Riga, Latvia, Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren told reporters.

US to Conduct Observation Flight Over Russia | 10 Mar 2015 | US and Czech military experts are expected to conduct a surveillance flight over Russia as part of the Open Skies treaty between March 9-14. Since 2002, Russia, the United States and a number of other signatories to the Treaty on Open Skies have allowed a limited number of observation flights over their turf. International agreements set the number of flights, the type of surveillance equipment on board and airports that can be used.

Zarif to U.S. senators: You are ignorant of international law | 10 Mar 2015 | The Iranian foreign minister on Monday reacted to an open letter to Iran's leaders by 47 U.S. Republican senators [Grade 'A' sociopaths] who had warned Tehran that any nuclear deal that the Islamic Republic signs with President Barack Obama's administration won't last after Obama leaves office. Mohammad Javad Zarif said the letter lacks "legal validity" and shows that the signatories of the letter are "ignorant of international law." "In our view this letter has no legal validity and is just a propaganda scheme," Zarif noted.

Senate GOP's Iran letter sparks American outrage, #47Traitors Twitter trend | 10 Mar 2015 | Twitter has turned on the nation's 47 traitors. Outraged Americans on Tuesday blasted the overwhelming majority of Senate Republicans for sending a letter to Iran's leaders, sparking a top trending #47Traitors hashtag on the social media site following the Daily News' front-page coverage of the unprecedented missive. Others took to social media to individually list the renegade lawmakers who sent an open letter to Iran's leaders warning them that a future President "could revoke" any nuclear deal not approved by Congress. The News condemned the dangerous treachery in Tuesday's scathing editorial -- and a chorus of patriots chimed in.

Letter by Republican Senators to Iran is 'unusual' and 'dangerous,' Obama, Biden and other Democrats say | 9 Mar 2015 | Senate Republicans who sent a letter to Iran's leaders in an unprecedented attempt to undermine nuclear talks are siding with America's enemies, President Obama and Senate Democrats charged Monday. "It's somewhat ironic to see some members of Congress wanting to make common cause with the hard-liners in Iran," Obama told reporters Monday. "It's an unusual coalition." Senate Democrats went further. "Let's be clear," Minority Leader Harry Reid said. "Republicans are undermining our commander-in-chief while empowering the ayatollahs."

Text of GOP Senators' [Loony] Letter to Iran's Leaders on Nuclear Talks | 9 Mar 2015 | Dozens of Republican senators wrote an open letter to the leadership of Iran, warning them that any nuclear deal signed between Iran and U.S. President Barack Obama might not last beyond his presidency, without Congress signing off on it as well. The group released the 13-minute footage on Tuesday. The video bore the hallmarks of the group's previous videos, including its dressing of the victims in orange jumpsuits.

High-risk terrorism inmates on hunger strike over language ban: claim | 11 Mar 2015 | (Au) Relatives of high-risk terrorism inmates being held in the state's most notorious prison claim the prisoners are on a hunger strike in protest at a new rule preventing them from speaking Arabic. Prison officials have strongly denied any strike is taking place and have refuted other claims that Korans and prayer time have been taken away. On Sunday, NSW Attorney-General Brad Hazzard announced the policy banning 13 "extreme high-risk" terrorism inmates from speaking any language other than English during family visits, phone calls and in letters. All visits have also been restricted to non-contact, and previously approved visitors are being vetted again.

Language restrictions on NSW prisoners deemed 'high risk' despite no known terrorist threat | 8 Mar 2015 | (AU) A restriction on prisoners speaking languages other than English has been placed on "high-risk" inmates in NSW despite the state government acknowledging there is no known terrorist threat coming from inside the cells. Attorney-General Brad Hazzard said on Sunday that 13 prisoners, who are linked to terrorism, had been identified as "extreme high risk restricted" and would have language restrictions placed upon them. The restrictions are designed to prevent the prisoners from co-ordinating or inciting terrorism from jail, Mr Hazzard said.

Supreme Court rejects cases on Guantanamo prisoner treatment | 9 Mar 2015 | The Supreme Court on Monday spurned two appeals involving U.S. treatment of Guantanamo Bay detainees prisoners, barring a Syrian man from suing the United States over alleged torture and blocking the release of images purported to show evidence of a Saudi man's mistreatment. The justices in both cases left intact lower-court rulings in favor of the U.S. government...Separately, the court handed a victory to the CIA by declining to take up a case in which a Washington-based civil liberties group, the Center for Constitutional Rights, was seeking access to videos and photographs of another prisoner, Saudi citizen Mohammed al-Qahtani.

NSA sued by Wikimedia, rights groups over mass surveillance | 10 Mar 2015 | The U.S. National Security Agency was sued on Tuesday by Wikimedia and other groups challenging one of its mass surveillance programs that they said violates Americans' privacy and makes individuals worldwide less likely to share sensitive information. The lawsuit filed in federal court in Maryland, where the spy agency is based, said the NSA is violating U.S. constitutional protections and the law by tapping into high-capacity cables, switches and routers that move Internet traffic through the United States.

Snowden files: Inside Waihopai's domes | 8 Mar 2015 | The Waihopai intelligence base looks oddly alien and out of place: huge white "golf ball" radomes like a moon station and silent buildings within two fences of razor wire, all dropped in the midst of vineyards and dry hills in New Zealand's Marlborough landscape. Documents about the Waihopai station leaked by US National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden show that the facility is as alien as is seems. Everything inside the top secret station except the staff is foreign. The electronic eavesdropping systems, the computer programmes that automatically index and search the captured communications, and the databases where details of a whole region's communications are stored: they are all standardised parts of the global surveillance system run by the NSA.

False flag crumbling under idiocy and lies by FBI: FBI testimony in Boston Marathon bomb trial pulled apart by defence --Long morning of embarrassment for the FBI as agent misidentified Twitter account photo of Grozny as Mecca and tweets falsely attributed to Tsarnaev were revealed to be jokes from Comedy Central TV shows and pop lyrics | 10 Mar 2015 | Sparks flew in a federal courtroom in Boston on Tuesday in the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev – the younger and only survivor of two brothers accused of perpetrating the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing – as the testimony of an FBI agent and witness for the prosecution collapsed under cross-examination by the defence. Tsarnaev's defence attorney Miriam Conrad surgically deconstructed testimony given late on Monday by an FBI agent that looked at Tsarnaev's Twitter accounts – and embarrassed the FBI by showing them to have misidentified a picture of a mosque in Grozny, Chechnya, as the Muslim holy site of Mecca. [LOL! *Morons.*] The exposure of that mistake was just part of a long morning of embarrassment for the FBI, as Conrad poked gaping holes in their investigation into Tsarnaev's online persona. FBI special agent Steven Kimball was forced to admit that he did not know that several of the tweets the prosecution had highlighted yesterday – to damning effect – as pointing towards Tsarnaev's radicalisation and violence were actually lyrics from pop songs.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture said Thursday that only workers handling the birds, all from the same commercial flock, are at risk of infection. Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) reports that four workers who had direct contact with the infected birds are being monitored by MDH for respiratory illnesses...The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the finding in Pope County, in western Minnesota, is the first appearance of the highly pathogenic H5N2 strain in the Mississippi flyway.

But Mrs Clinton said it "would have been better" to have two accounts to separate work and personal emails. The issue of whether Mrs Clinton breached federal records rules has gained attention as she is expected to announce a run for president.

Early Monday, the fraternity's national organization said the University of Oklahoma's chapter would be suspended.
