campaign? Are we all supposed to have mass collective amnesia?

OK, let's go to the tape, shall we? No, not that tape, we're talking
about every campaign speech Trump made. Not only did he promise
immediate Obamacare repeal, DAY ONE no less, over and over, sixty
plus votes taken to repeal Obamacare in the Republican House, passed
in the Republican Senate as well, and now it's like what . . . never
mind??? What is this, Emily Litella time?

Of course, it's not just Trump. The entire Republican party is
nothing but a total honking fraud. Yeah, sure you're going to repeal
Obamacare the instant you have the absolute unstoppable power to do
so. Sure you will. Sure. They have one agenda and one agenda only, no
more taxes on the rich. And now anyone who can look themselves in the
mirror knows it.
And let's not let Nancy Pelosi off the hook either. She was out there
gloating on Friday that the Republicans lost because people loves
them their Obamacare so much.
Is she on drugs, or is she just drunk on being out of power (except
for her death grip on her own minority party position)?
The Republican bill went down because, as bad as Obamacare is, people
were petrified of losing even the lousy, overpriced health care they
have now. What happened here was that the Republican bill was that
much hideously worse, that's why it failed. And UNLIKE Pelosi, the
Republicans were ultimately smart enough not to pass a terrible bill
that would turn them into a permanent political majority the other
way.
Now Trump says when the Democrats are ready they'll come to the
negotiating table, though he's not going to reach out to them in the
slightest.
We're ready now.
We've been ready for at least 8 years, when we were railing against
the Democrats for refusing to even consider single payer health care
in the first place.
Bernie Sanders, bless his progressive champion of the people heart,
announced that he is about to reintroduce Medicare For All in the
Senate. Every needs to submit this action page now and get everyone
else they know to do the same.

Now Trump is basically saying it's up to the Democrats, the party OUT
of power, to fix health care. For the first time in life we could not
agree more. It's time for us to demand single payer, the best thing
every developed country that has it ever did, demand it NOW, and
build the new American power majority behind that banner.
Trump told you he alone could do it. As it turns out, the Democrats
alone can do it. Let's do it.
