VoteVets.org : [Military Parade] A call for ideas

VoteVets

For months we have been plotting and planning the best way to stop Trump’s ridiculous, embarrassing ego-driven military parade. It’s a top priority for us.
You know that we applied for permits with Washington, D.C. to hold a 5K to raise money for veterans’ homelessness on the morning of the parade (1K for each of Trump’s deferments). Our hope was that we could beat the DoD to the punch, but we were denied.

We are working legislatively to starve funding in Congress, or at least pare it down dramatically, for the parade. That effort continues.

We are working on a few other ideas to stop, reduce, or at least do something that shines a nationwide light on what an embarrassment Trump is causing our country and those who served.

But we don’t have all the ideas. So we want to hear from you:

Share your ideas on how you think we can stop, disrupt, or diminish Trump’s military parade. We want to hear everything from the grandest, most outlandish idea you have to the smallest idea you think is interesting that could be part of a larger plan. Use this link. We will read them all.

We have a budget. We have veterans willing to speak out. We have a large following. We have capacity to do creative work on television and digitally. What we need are your best ideas. If you don’t have them now, save this email, think about it, and come back later to share.

All our best,
The team at VoteVets

P.S. We are working hard to stop this parade while fighting to elect a Congress that will hold Trump accountable. Please make a $10 donation to help us keep up those fights: http://action.votevets.org/august-2018
