SPRINGFIELD MA POLICE BRUTALITY: Mistreatment of Hispanic teens by MA police 'so abusive it shocks the conscience' (watch)

 link.

Surveillance videos posted by the Republican and MassLive show Bigda threatening to kill and beat, as well as plant drugs on, the two 15 and 16 year old boys if they did not reveal who was driving the vehicle.
Bigda told one of the boys he could do whatever he wanted, including "crush your ... skull." He continued, "I'm not hampered by the ... truth because I don't give a f---! People like you belong in jail... I'll stick a... kilo of coke in your pocket and put you away... for 15 years."
Yikes.

Officers Gregg Bigda and Steven Vigneault were arrested Wednesday for excessive force and deprivation of rights while trying to detain a group of teens.

Two police officers, Gregg Bigda and former detective Steven Vigneault, were arrested Wednesday for excessive force and deprivation of rights under the color of the law.
MassLive.com reports the pair of officers used excessive force while arresting two Latino teens in Springfield, MA in 2016. Bigda faces additional charges of filing a false report as well as abusive interrogation of the teenagers once they were jailed, "so abusive it shocks the conscience."
According to the Washington Post, on the night of Feb. 26, 2016, Vigneault got into an unmarked vehicle at the Springfield Police Department to go to Primo's Pizzeria for dinner. Vigneault left the car running as he got food, and by the time he left, the car was gone. After about four hours of searching, the car was stopped and a group of teenage Hispanic boys jumped out, fleeing through nearby woods until they were stopped.
As stated in the indictment and on MassLive.com, this is when the teens were bitten by dogs, handcuffed, and kicked in the face by both officers. Bigda ended the attack spitting on the 14 year old Hispanic boy and saying, "welcome to the white man's world."
The 14-year-old was taken to the hospital with a fractured nose, two black eyes and head contusions, as reported by the Washington Post. At least two others were brought to a youth jail nearby, where the abuse continued.

MassLive.com adds that the officers made their initial appearance in court Wednesday afternoon, where Bigda pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released without bail.
