The horror of Agent Orange and its effects on Vietnam war veterans and Vietnamese citizens is well-documented (although the effects are still unknown to average person). But many U.S. veterans who never fought in that war say they, too, handled toxic chemicals at military bases around the world, suffering the same health consequences.

These days, those groups have been replaced by liberals, gays, atheists, minorities and Barack Obama, who symbolizes a changing America that threatens the white South’s cultural clout. In response, the solid Republican South has mounted a defense against these outside threats via shady redistricting that curtails black political representation and by passing voter suppression laws that disenfranchise minorities who support the Democratic Party."
