A well considered choice by the BOS. BRAVO!!!

In general, I think the BOS meetings are now being conducted in a more professional manner with more openness to community input.

The process really does work when people lay aside their differences and look objectively for good solutions. This is a good day in Middleboro. A warm welcome to Mr. Cristello should he accept the position.

Not influenced by blogs? BOS: Thous doest protest too much! LOL

My husband and I watched the meeting and are pleased with the choice. The BOS clearly did their homework and considered the issues surrounding each candidate.
We believe Mr. Cristello will work for change in a positive direction while working to soothe the dissension that has been created.
We also welcome him as a much needed addition to the team and the town.

A good team player is exactly what we need. A hearty welcome Charlie!

Wise choice and we support it.

Welcome to Middleboro, Mr. Cristello. We look forward to working with you.

Good choice and welcome Mr. Cristello!
The board is clearly doing better after all the criticsm.
Now would someone give Aunt Bea some coaching lessons about town government? She attempted to make a motion to amend articles on the ATM Warrant twice last night. This isn't Mayberry, Aunt Bea! You clearly never attended town meeting before and you clearly never watched meetings before you decided to run. We're embarrassed for you!

Good luck to Middleboro. He is very smart, very professional and you will always only hear half of of what's really going on. If you are lucky.

Mr. Cristello had done his homework and seems to understand what he's getting into.
Many of those problems are simply remedied, easily addressed, but the bos failed in the past.
Hopefully, with the more professional appearance will come a better board.
Welcome aboad, Mr. Cristello! Improvement for the better is needed.

Opie
Don't be too hard on poor ole, sweet Aunt Bea. She has to get up early to milk the cows, bake pies for the church social, and knock off all those hand stitched quilts. Priorities are priorites boy! The ole gal can't be expected to read all those dull and boring reports when there's real work to be done. Maybe I'll get Goober or Gomer to give her a hand. Now skeedaddle. Aunt Bea has some cookies and fresh milk waiting for you.

12:15PM Anonymous: Do we know if he is a "Charlie"? Regardless, welcome Mr. Cristello and we're looking forward to your arrival.

One candidate was only interested because of the casino. I apreciate that the board didnt consider him for that reason. There final choice was the best candidate if you did your homeowrk. He's respectd in Hingham with much praise. Good choice.

MR - I can't come forward and say my honest opinin for fear of retalition in this town so I apppreciate that you have alowed coments with no names. The man is a good choice and welcome. We'll work with him for the best for our town.
Aunt Bea hurts to watch. Cant anyone help?

We have disagreed with some of your positions, in this case, you spoke for us. The Board of Selectmen CAN NOT continue to make decisions without careful examination and although we support the casino, that MIGHT have been sole criteria for one candidate. The Board of Selectmen chose the best candidate we believe will do the best job. You were there to speak out for us and allowed us to make anonymous comments.

I'm pleased with the unanimous decision, but disappointed that clearly 2 members of the Board HAD NOT done adequate research. Mr Spitaro's comments frequently lack logic.

The Middleboro Selectmen made the right choice when another candidate behaves like this -

Mr. Saquet is whose father in law? Does that mean anything to anyone?

After reading the Sun Chronicle articel the bord picked the right man. Dagostin looks like a brat with tempr tantrum. http://www.thesunchronicle.com/articles/2008/04/30/news/3117997.txt
The mans wrong.
Hoory for Crestello.

Mr. D'Agostino's quotes in the Sun Chronicle are unprofessional. Regardless of Mr. Saquet's praise, Middleboro dodged a bullet with that type of behavior.
Mr. Cristello was professional and friends in Hingham have only positive to say about him.
Welcome!
