To date the GOP lead by Boehner has cost US tens of billions of dollars in added interest that we now must pay on any loans because of their refusal to raise the debt ceiling last year. They now want to hold that vote hostage again, causing even more damage to the economy and tens of billions MORE in interest and therefore debt. Boehner announced that the vote on raising the debt ceiling was his leverage. Translation: We will do anything, no matter how damaging to manipulate and get whatever we want no matter what policies the American people just voted for!
