GREAT NEWS! Plans to turn Grays Harbor, a lush bay north of the mouth of Washington's Columbia River, into a huge crude oil shipping terminal has been blocked thanks to efforts by Native American and conservation groups! http://ow.ly/pGYSP
The proposed oil shipping terminals would have shipped millions of barrels of dirty crude tar sands oil from Canada or North Dakota by rail through Grays Harbor each year. The oil would be have been stored in huge tanks on the shore of this unique and vibrant estuary, posing a threat to wildlife and the natural environment.
