High Noon for Keystone XL
We're finally nearing the end of a 5-year journey. It is expected that President Obama will soon announce his decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, which would vastly increase production of the dirtiest fuel on Earth. KXL has galvanized protests across the U.S., and the Sierra Club has been on the front lines. Last Friday, two million comments opposing the pipeline were delivered to the State Department, with more than 200,000 coming from the Sierra Club. It comes down to this: It's not about the pipe; it's about what the pipe would carry.
Why is Keystone XL such a big deal?
