Meet "Stormy"
Cute isn't she?
Well this is One of those stories that will break your heart, but will also give you hope for the future...
Stormy was picked up by animal control.
A stray puppy, who was hit by a car and needed immediate medical attention.
Her front legs were raw & bleeding from being rolled under the car & possibly dragged and her rear leg, removed because it was broken beyond repair.
Well guess who did the medical work on the sweet puppy?
It wasn't me, it was Nashville Metro animal control. They have been working very hard, to take strides to do more.
And I have also been doing more, making an effort to go down and rescue as many as I can. I'm taking the dogs that others don't want, ringworm, mange, etc.
I think so many of us have become so conditioned to believe in the worst.
Seeing the worst on the Internet, the urgent pleas for the dogs dying everywhere at animal controls. So frantic to try to save them from euthanasia, we are losing vision that there is some good in this world.
Conditioned to believe the worst and forgetting that people are trying.
I've always been a proponent of solution. To complain gets nothing done, to work together and have solutions, well that changes everything.
So Today we celebrate that Stormy is alive, that animal control cared enough to go the extra mile to do all they could to save her life.
She is now a new comer to our program here at "A Place To Bark" and as soon as she is well enough she will be available for adoption:)
Change comes with Hard Work, Hope Faith and Solutions.
