"Henrietta" and her puppies are sleeping in the lap of luxury tonite, Thanks to so many people, sending warm, fuzzy blankets & Holiday gifts. The puppies are getting so big and even though it was a very, very rough start for this family, everyone is doing well. The baby's eyes are open, I don't have to bottle feed anymore. (Thank Goodness)
In another week or so, I will start to wean them, to give mom a break.
She is doing well. Still shut down and afraid, but she no longer cowers and will go out on her own now. We saw one tail wag. Feral dogs take time and truly, she has been thru such a hard life, it is just one of those things. We have been here before with many dogs and always make it thru to a better place. Just time, Love and much patience. Understanding their fears and helping them grow confidence.
Thank you, just doesn't seem enough to say, for the kindnesses, you have shown our rescues here. Please know, how much your thoughtful and heartfelt gestures mean to the animals here.
It is something most, have never known & would have died had they been left at animal control.
Now they get to Live, find New Homes & Loving Families.
Blessings, Love & Light to you all....
From "A Place To Bark"

At a time of the year, when people are celebrating the Holidays, there are homeless pets dying, at animal controls all across the nation. I've given up my holiday season, to pack my shelter to capacity with Lives Saved!!!

We have record numbers of intakes & record numbers of adoptions this month.
I wouldn't have it any other way, in a season that represents LIFE!
The heartache for me is seeing the huge number of homeless puppies at animal control.
We have taken in 10 litters this month alone. All will find homes, but the cycle of needless procreation needs to stop. Babies should not be born into this world homeless.
Please spread the word of Spay & Neuter far & wide!
The Lives of pets, depend on people, being responsible & the death cycle can only end if people are onboard.
If you want the puppy experience, please foster for a humane society or rescue.
When considering Adopting a pet, really think it thru. If you are on the wall, just foster. You can always adopt, if you decide you are ready. If not, you have just Saved a Life! Win/Win!!!
