Now we're getting somewhere! This week the CFPB announced new rules to crack down on the abusive cycle of payday debt.
You can bet the predatory lenders will fight this effort and try to water down the new rules, but we can't let that happen. In fact, the CFPB should strengthen rules to ensure there's no way for lenders to game the system and continue abusing middle class families.
Too many working families are trapped by payday loans, and it's time to fight back.
