AT THIS POINT A DISASTER ON FUNDING FOR JUNE - Regardless of what we want, what we have is a funding disaster. This is the worst fundraiser of the year so far, and one of the worst ever. As always the number of people visiting the site is exponentially greater than the number of people donating. The financial distress caused by that is easy to forecast. If we are to continue we must have the support of those we serve. / Marc Ash, Founder Reader Supported News

Neil Young Is Not OK With Donald Trump Using His Music; Endorses Bernie Sanders

By Evan Minsker, Pitchfork
17 June 15

"Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America."

oday, Donald Trump announced that's he's running for President of the United States of America. Before he gave his speech, Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World" played. You know, the same Neil Young who wrote a song about George W. Bush called "Let's Impeach the President" and is about to release an album about Monsanto
Obviously, Young is not OK with Trump using his music.
"Donald Trump was not authorized to use 'Rockin' in the Free World' in his presidential candidacy announcement," reads a statement from Young's representative. "Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America."
Trump's representatives told TMZ that they "paid for and obtained the legal right" to use the song.
The Monsanto Years is out on June 29 via Reprise. Here's his environmental anthem from Storytone, "Who's Gonna Stand Up":

We have more important things to worry about than The Donald's Zipper Problem!

Did you catch what Senator Bernie Sanders had to say?

Now, that's important!

Just needed to comment....please consider your political party affiliation more carefully.
