Electronic devices banned on flights to US from 13 countries after intel threat | 20 March 2017 | Officials have banned certain electronic devices on flights to the U.S. from 13 international airports due to increased terror threats, sources told Fox News Monday. The ban is the result of an increased "volume" of chatter suggesting that Al Qaeda and other groups are still looking for ways to sneak explosive materials onboard planes. The open-ended ban, which goes into effect Tuesday, will also revive strict rules about liquids on planes that date back to post-9/11 flying regulations.

'Fully ready to be lethal': US-led NATO battalion to be deployed to Poland | 20 March 2017 | A US-led battalion of over 1,100 soldiers will be deployed in Poland in the beginning of April to deter what is said to be possible Russian "aggression," with the unit's commander stressing that his troops are ready to use lethal force. The NATO battle group to be stationed in Orzysz, 220 kilometers northeast of the capital, Warsaw, will include more than 900 American troops, around 150 British personnel and some 120 Romanian servicemen, Reuters reported. Russia has repeatedly criticized NATO’s buildup in Eastern Europe, which it views [and is] a threat to its national security. In February, Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed NATO for endangering global peace by trying to provoke a conflict with Moscow through its "newly-declared official mission to deter Russia."

Oscar-feted White Helmets are part of Al-Qaeda - Assad | 20 March 2017 | Syrian President Bashar Assad has hit out at the controversial nonprofit White Helmets, calling it a front for Islamic terrorism, and saying they are an example of Western narratives grotesquely distorting the truth about the conflict in the country. "White Helmets are Al Qaeda members and that's proven on the net," Assad told RT during an interview with Russian journalists in Damascus. "The same members are killing or executing or celebrating over dead bodies, at the same time they are humanitarian heroes, and now they have an Oscar." Both Damascus and Moscow have repeatedly accused the White Helmets of functioning as a propaganda operation that stages videos and manipulates coverage to generate sympathy abroad for the rebel cause, and as a jihadist rescue service that operates in tandem with [John McCain's] Al Nusra and other radical terrorist groups in Syria.

The statement said: "The Korean People's Army will reduce the bases of aggression and provocation to ashes with its invincible Hwasong rockets tipped with nuclear warheads and reliably defend the security of the country and its people’s happiness in case the US and the South Korean puppet forces fire even a single bullet at the territory of the DPRK." Last month, American Gen.
