Trump's incompetent appointment

FOCUS: John Kiriakou | Trump's Counterterrorism Deputy Is an Avowed Neo-Nazi

John Kiriakou, Reader Supported News
Kiriakou writes: "Every once in awhile, a story will hit the press that doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves. It's up to us to spread the word. It's important. Sebastian Gorka is one of those cases. He is President Donald Trump's deputy assistant for counterterrorism, the National Security Council's 'Terrorism Czar.' He is also, apparently, a sworn member of Hungary's neo-Nazi Vitezi Rend, or 'Order of Heroes.'"

From MASSterlist:

TRUMP SPIES?

‘The commissar’
There isn’t a Massachusetts angle to this, not as far as we can see. It’s just interesting how President Trump, who seems to have a strange attraction to Russia, is now acting like a Russian, sending political appointees to government agencies to monitor the loyalty of cabinet secretaries, the Washington Post reports. The appointees even report directly to a new Office of Cabinet Affairs, not to agency chiefs. From the Post: “At the Pentagon, they’re privately calling the former Marine officer and fighter pilot who’s supposed to keep his eye on Defense Secretary Jim Mattis ‘the commissar,’ according to a high-ranking defense official with knowledge of the situation. It’s a reference to Soviet-era Communist Party officials who were assigned to military units to ensure their commanders remained loyal.”

Chow writes: "President Donald Trump, who signed an executive order in January to curtail lobbying influence in government, is expected to name a coal lobbyist as the new deputy administrator to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)."

White House Installs Aides at Every Cabinet Agency to Monitor Loyalty to Trump
Lisa Rein and Juliet Eilperin, The Washington Post
Excerpt: "The aides act as a go-between on policy matters for the agencies and the White House. Behind the scenes, though, they're on another mission: to monitor Cabinet leaders and their top staffs to make sure they carry out the president's agenda and don't stray too far from the White House's talking points, said several officials with knowledge of the arrangement."

Trump is a TERRIBLE manager:

Is Trump A Failed President?

A Politico report revealed something startling:
“A culture of paranoia is consuming the Trump administration, with staffers increasingly preoccupied with perceived enemies — inside their own government.”
It doesn’t look much better from the outside. Indeed, it’s hard to find something the Trump administration hasn’t bungled: A National Security Advisor forced to resign after lying about Russian contacts. A failed “Muslim ban” that caused three days of chaos before the courts stepped in.
Trump has alienated key members of his own party. Sen. Lindsay Graham has threatened subpoenas over his bizarre accusations of bugging at Trump tower. The right hates TrumpCare almost as much as the left. At least a half dozen Republicans have declared it “Dead on Arrival.”
A wise man once said, in politics, the best time to kick someone is when they are down. Trump is down. But he is still dangerous. We need a check on his power and there is only one way to do that.
People’s Action is preparing a massive campaign to defeat the radical right up and down the ballot in 2018. While Trump is imploding, we’re preparing to take power back.
We need to recruit, train, and support candidates in the places the Democratic Party has ignored. With your help, we will succeed.
