More than 15,000 people have signed our petition opposing Trump's budget. A number of them have even shared how it will impact them personally.
Tell Congress you oppose this cruel set of priorities.

Donald Trump's budget is a cruel document that endeavors to take away vital programs and services from poor and working families in order to help give massive tax cuts to his rich friends.
You know some of the low-lights:
* Cuts to the meals on wheels program that delivers food to millions of homebound Americans, including more than 500,000 veterans.
* Cutting billions of dollars to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance program that helps the aging and the poor pay power and heating bills.
* Cutting hundreds of millions from programs designed to help low-income people 55 and older train for and find new jobs.
It gets worse from there. And although there are increases for the Department and Defense and the VA, we aren't going to let them get funded on the backs of working families.

Vice President Biden once said, "Don't tell me what you value, show me your budget, and I'll tell you what you value.' This budget is a cruel document that will inflict deep and meaningful pain on millions of American families -- including many veterans.

We have our eyes on a lot of fights going forward. This one is no exception. And it starts with your signature opposing President Trump's budget.

All our best,
- The team at VoteVets
