Franklin Graham calls for national day of prayer so God will ‘intervene against Trump’s enemies’

GUESS HE DOESN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS...PITY!

PLEASE INCLUDE IN THOSE PRAYERS THAT GOD BESTOW WISDOM

These days, it’s hard to know where TV evangelist and evangelical leader Franklin Graham‘s loyalties lie: with God or Donald Trump. Either way, he’s calling on Christians across America to “set aside” this coming Sunday and spend it praying for Trump against his “enemies.”
In a Facebook post this Sunday, Graham called on “followers of Christ” to “set aside next Sunday, June 2, as a special day of prayer for the President, Donald J. Trump.”
“President Trump’s enemies continue to try everything to destroy him, his family, and the presidency,” Graham wrote. “In the history of our country, no president has been attacked as he has. I believe the only hope for him, and this nation, is God. This is a critical time for America. We’re on the edge of a precipice. Time is short. We need to pray for God to intervene. We need to ask God to protect, strengthen, encourage, and guide the president.”

Trump.”

Graham claims he’ll be joined by over 250 Christian leaders for the event. He even called for Sunday School classes to partake in the national lifting up of Trump in prayer.
Towards the end of the post, Graham asked people to comment and let him know if they “commit” to pray for Trump.

Of course, there was no shortage of devoted followers.
“We commit to joining in prayer for our President, his cabinet, and for our nation,” one person commented.
“I will be praying for President Trump especially on June 2 & also praying for his reelection,” commented another. “Thank you Mr. Graham for organizing this prayer day!”
But there were also plenty of dissenters, accusing Graham of having his religious priorities backwards.
“I will pray for him to be impeached if it is God’s will, and for American Christians to be grounded in love instead of unholy political alliances,” someone wrote.
“If this guy can politick from the pulpit….TAX THE CHURCHES!” another person declared.
One person wondered if Graham would have extended the same spiritual courtesy to former President Barack Obama.
“Tell me, Franklin, what date did you set aside as a Nation Prayer Day for President Obama, truly the most obstructed and disrespected POTUS America had ever had? Because I don’t remember you or your great father holding him and his family up in prayer and asking Christian churches to do the same. As a Christian myself, I have a real problem with this. Look at what a man does, not what he says—let his actions speak for his beliefs: that is the true character of a person. God will judge them both, but in the meanwhile, my prayers are for the deliverance of this country.”

Graham’s post has gone hugely viral, amassing almost 180,000 likes and 130,000 shares as of this writing.
