Trump's Immigration Jackpot

Trump's Immigration Jackpot

2015-08-17-1439835158-6278560-slot.jpg

After weeks of speculation, Donald Trump finally revealed the details of his proposed border wall . "There won't be any barbed wire or concrete," said Trump. "I'll use 2,000 miles of slot machines."

"How will that stop immigrants from crossing the border?" asked This Reporter.

"You kidding? People will put their last nickel in a slot machine and the Mexican Government will pay for it," Trump announced at the Iowa State Fair.

"Okay, but how will that prevent new immigrants from coming into the country or encourage illegal immigrants who are already here to leave?"

"That's the beauty of it," said Trump, taking a bite out of a deep fried hog-on-a-stick. "There will be no INS raids or police. They will come of their own free will by the millions. I'll fly them in for free and give them coupons for an all-you-can-eat buffet. Have you ever seen a 2,000-foot-long taco?"

"But once all these immigrants are amassed at the border, how do you get them to leave?" asked This Reporter.

"I am going to make a deal with the Mexican government they can't refuse," said Trump. "For every illegal immigrant they take back, I will give them a Donald Trump hat."

"A hat? Why would the Mexican government want a million Trump hats?" asked This Reporter.
"Because the people of Mexico love me. I am HUGE there," said Trump, stepping up to a deep fried macaroni and cheese vendor. "Mmmm. Very tasty."

"How will you decide which immigrants are worthy of citizenship?" This Reporter asked.

"Aha! Glad you asked. That will be the focus of my new reality show Immigrant Apprentice! Each week, viewers will vote to decide who stays and who goes back to the pueblo," said Trump, moving along to deep fried banana cream pie. "They'll get to decide who is a rapist or murderer and who has the makings of a good American citizen."

"How can you possibly win the Republican presidential nomination if you alienate the entire Hispanic population?" asked This Reporter.

"Who said anything about Republicans?" smirked Trump.

They want you to think this picture is impossible

Bernie Sanders for President

I believe that we will win.

On Wednesday night, over 100,000 supporters gathered at 3,500 events across the country to kick off the Bernie 2016 organizing effort. It was an unprecedented grassroots gathering this early in a presidential campaign.

And earlier this week, we received some tremendous polling news from CNN. Check out these two potential general election match-ups:

Bernie Sanders (D): 48%     Bernie Sanders (D): 48%
Scott Walker (R): 42%     Jeb Bush (R): 47%

Bernie has more than tripled his support in the Democratic primary since our April 30th launch, and he is the ONLY Democratic candidate with higher favorable ratings than unfavorable.

We told everyone they should not underestimate us, but we still have a lot of work left to do.

When this campaign started, people said it was impossible — that we were dreaming. But it’s not: this is happening. Right now. Because of you. And if we keep it up, it won’t be too difficult for anyone to imagine seeing this on November 8, 2016.

CNN: Bernie Sanders elected president

Like Bernie says: “Now is not the time to think small.”

We have our sights set high, but if we stand together and continue to grow, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish. And your contribution today will help get us there.
Thanks for adding one,

Bernie Sanders leading in Polls! Bravo Bernie!

A Quinnipiac University poll shows that in a hypothetical general election match-up, Sanders tops Trump 44% to 39%. The data point shows that although Trump is leading the GOP pack now, he could prove to be a disaster for Republicans in a general election.

Netroots Nation conference: Senator Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren just brought down the house at the Netroots Nation conference -- and she challenged presidential candidates to reduce Wall Street influence in government.

PETITION: All candidates for president should make clear that they learned the right lessons from the financial crisis by reducing the power of Wall Street insiders in government and on their campaigns. We need a Treasury Secretary, Attorney General, SEC Chair, NEC Director, FTC Chair, FCTC Chair, and other appointees who have demonstrated a strong commitment toward holding Wall Street accountable and fighting for the public. And Americans deserve to see this commitment now with the appointment of progressive economic thinkers to key campaign policy positions.

Bernie 2016

Bernie Sanders for President

We made a bit of history last night in Madison, Wisconsin.

Ten thousand people showed up at an event of ours — that’s more people who have come together for a presidential campaign event than any other candidate has had in 2015.

This is important.

It’s important because despite what the media would have you think, politics is not a game or a soap opera. Politics is ultimately about people coming together to improve the lives of all Americans, and not just a handful of wealthy campaign contributors.

And on July 29th, I am asking Americans from across the country to come together for a series of conversations about how we can organize an unprecedented grassroots movement that takes on the greed of Wall Street and the billionaire class.

Bernie in Madison

The truth is that the big money interests, Wall Street, and corporate America have so much power that no president, no matter how great he or she may be, can defeat them unless there is an organized grassroots movement.

They have the money, but we have the people. And if we stand together, there’s nothing we cannot accomplish.

We can provide healthcare to every man, woman, and child as a right.

We can make certain that every person can get all the education they need regardless of income.

We can create millions of jobs by rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges.
We can have the best child care system in the world.
But change will not come without political participation. That's why it's so important that we come together in our communities to organize for the change we want to see in America.

I am more than aware that our opponents will be able to outspend us.
But we are going to win this election.
Bernie Sanders

A U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) report released this month shows that the sharp increase in ‪#‎earthquakes‬ in the central and eastern U.S. since 2009 is linked to the oil and gas industry's disposal of wastewater by injecting it into deep wells.

The GOP Brainiac!

Only one Republican presidential candidate has suggested Obama's to blame for the economic crash - which happened before he took office.
Take a wild guess which candidate.
It was only a matter of time before Republican presidential candidates starting blaming the president for the crash that happened on Bush/Cheney's watch.
