Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution--and How It Can Renew America

Charlie Rose interviewed Tom Friedman, New York Times columnist, Pulitzer Prize winner, recently on his new book, Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution--and How It Can Renew America, and discussed Energy Technology (ET), which he believes will be the next IT equivalent.
.
Although there a points in the discussion with which to disagree, Mr. Friedman does address the negative impact of the Republican filibuster of the renewal of tax credits for alternative energy.
.
The video, not yet posted, is worth the time when it is released.

Dynamite interview! Can't wait to read the book. Tom Friedman interesting perspectives, but lost it with the invasion of Iraq, the single biggest foreign policy blinder in YS history.

Have you seen The Chapter 18 Project? I work for Friedman's publisher, and we recently launched it: readers can submit ideas and comments for the expanded edition of Hot, Flat, and Crowded, with Friedman guiding the discussion online. To my knowledge, this type of crowdsourcing has never been done on a major book yet.
