Middleboro Citizens Environmental Health Impact Committee

Prior to his passing, Victor Sylvia stood at Town Meeting to have voters approve Citizens Environmental Health Impact Committee to maintain the focus on the hazardous waste sites located in Middleboro and the high rates of neurological diseases that seem connected to those sites.

It is only because of Victor Sylvia, several others and the local media that the issues have remained in public focus. Each time I have commented on the issue, people ask where they can find additional information and this web site provides that valuable resource.

Wally Glendye reported on the $10,000 Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) to Promote Citizen Involvement in Contaminated Site Cleanups awarded by DEP.

A community resource that provides archives was needed and Wally did a good job with this one.
