Pipeline leak near Kankakee under investigation

At least 500 gallons of oil leaked today from a Buckeye Partners oil pipeline into a ditch that leads to the Kankakee River in Illinois. The spill was discovered after residents reported a strong odor. Booms have been put in place to try to stop oil from reaching the river.
