TEXAS Gov.: Private Charities Must Not Feed Hungry Refugees: Maybe They Will Go Away

Only in Texas would the governor direct volunteer agencies not to provide aid to Syrian refugees. Texas Governor Greg Abbot did just that last week when he sent a letter to volunteer agencies telling them not to provide aid to Syrian refugees or potentially face consequences.
As Addicting Info reports:
In addition to being just plain wrong and evil, it might also be illegal. While the Texas Governor maintains that his state will not take any more refugees, there are still more than 210 that have been living there for the last 14 months. Even though there have been absolutely no links to terror attacks from these refugees, he wants to cut off private sources of help. It’s absurd.
So much for the Republican mantra of keeping government out of private business.
