Breaking: Julian Assange's internet link has been intentionally severed by a state party - WikiLeaks | 17 Oct 2016 | The internet is one of the few, if not only, available ways for Julian Assange, who has been locked up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, to be in touch with the world. The news comes as WikiLeaks is releasing damaging documents, namely hacked emails from Hillary Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta, which could ruin Clinton's chances of becoming the next US president. The 9th release, the latest, occurred on Sunday, bringing the total number of leaked files to over 12,000...The batch also comes amid revelations of Clinton's cozy relationship with the mainstream media, and how they work closely to control the media landscape and set up stories that show her in a favorable light.

Russia orders all officials to fly home any relatives living abroad, as tensions mount over the prospect of a global war | 13 Oct 2016 | Russia is ordering all of its officials to fly home any relatives living abroad amid heightened tensions over the prospect of global war, it has been claimed. Politicians and high-ranking figures are said to have received a warning from president Vladimir Putin to bring their loved-ones home to the 'Motherland', according to local media. It comes after Putin cancelled a planned visit to France amid a furious row over Moscow's [legal] role in the [US-engendered] Syrian conflict and just days after it emerged the Kremlin had moved nuclear-capable missiles nearer to the Polish border. Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev has also warned that the world is at a 'dangerous point' due to rising tensions between Russia and the US.

Stating that no one was injured in the shelling, the ministry said the embassy’s territory was covered in bomb splinters. The ministry has strongly condemned the attack – the second one on the embassy this month. "On October 12, starting from 11:30am, the neighborhood in Damascus where the Russian Embassy is located was subjected to mortar fire for nearly two hours from the Jobar district controlled by extremists," an official statement from the Foreign Ministry says.

US missile defense in Europe directly threatens Russia - Chinese military | 11 Oct 2016 | US antimissile shield in Europe directly threats Russia, a senior-ranking Chinese general said as cited by RIA Novosti. He added that US actions across the globe disrupt the balance of regional power and provoke regional instability. "The US did not provide legally-binding guarantees that the missile defense system they are deploying in Europe would not be aimed against Russia. But at the same time it poses a real and direct threat to the Russian security," the general reportedly said in a speech at the Xiangshan international security forum in Beijing.

Hans-Georg Maassen told public broadcaster ARD that intelligence leads had suggested in early September that militant group Islamic State (IS) was planning an attack on Germany's transport infrastructure. Spies managed to track down and identify the suspect in the eastern state of Saxony last Thursday and started a round-the-clock observation, Maassen said.

Victim pleads: 'Do not give to the American Red Cross, if you want to help Haiti' | 09 Oct 2016 | As the death count after Hurricane Matthew approaches 900 and reports of deadly cholera outbreaks [brought by the UN] begin to surface, Haitians have sent out desperate pleas for help. Government officials estimate at least 350,000 people needed assistance after the devastating storm. Yet accompanying many requests for aid comes a warning -- do not give your m-ney to the American Red Cross (ARC)...Despite collecting nearly half a billion d-llars to provide relief after the 2010 Haiti earthquake and pledging to build 700 permanent homes, the ARC has been accused of only building six. "In the coming days, many of you are going to write and ask me how you can 'help Haiti'," one woman said on Twitter after the hurricane, "Do not give to the American Red Cross." [Exactly!]

Leaked Hillary Clinton emails show U.S. allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar supported ISIS | 11 Oct 2016 | A recently leaked 2014 email from Hillary Clinton acknowledges, citing Western intelligence sources, that the U.S.-backed regimes in Saudi Arabia and Qatar have supported ISIS [I-CIA-SIS]. "We need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region," the document states. This adds to a growing body of evidence that theocratic Gulf monarchies have helped fuel the surge of extremist groups throughout the Middle East. Another newly released email, from January 2016, includes an excerpt from a private October 2013 speech in which Clinton acknowledged that "the Saudis have exported more extreme ideology than any other place on earth over the course of the last 30 years."

[05162013 Remarks to Banco Itau.doc, p. 28] Hillary Clinton Said We Have to Have a Concerted Plan to Increase Trade; We Have to Resist Protectionism and Other Kinds of Barriers to Trade. "Secondly, I think we have to have a concerted plan to increase trade already under the current circumstances, you know, that Inter-American Development Bank figure is pretty surprising. There is so much more we can do, there is a lot of low hanging fruit but businesses on both sides have to make it a priority and it's not for governments to do but governments can either make it easy or make it hard and we have to resist, protectionism, other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade and I would like to see this get much more attention and be not just a policy for a year under president X or president Y but a consistent one." [05162013 Remarks to Banco Itau.doc, p. 32]

WikiLeak'ed Emails Show Hillary Has the Media in Her Pocket | 12 Oct 2016 | A trove of e-mails released by WikiLeaks showed that the Clinton campaign coordinated with media outlets to promote positive stories about the Democratic presidential hopeful and give her maximum positive coverage. In a December 2015 email to Podesta, Harwood bragged about his much-criticized debate performance in which he asked Trump "Let's be honest, is this a comic book version of a presidential campaign?"

Now Brazile's CNN colleague, Jake Tapper, insists Brazile's actions were "unethical" and "horrifying." In a Thursday interview on Washington D.C.'s WMAL radio, Tapper told host Larry O'Connor that the evidence that Brazile leaked debate questions to Hillary's campaign was a journalistically unethical act.

New email shows Brazile may have had exact wording of proposed town hall question before CNN | 12 Oct 2016 | A new email obtained by POLITICO is shedding more light on the mystery of whether and how interim DNC chair Donna Brazile might have obtained the text of a proposed question from a town hall between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in advance, and possibly shared it with the Clinton campaign...The email obtained by POLITICO was written by town hall co-moderator Roland Martin on the day of the town hall to CNN producers. But it shows him using word for word the language of a question that Brazile appeared to have sent to the Clinton campaign a day earlier. That email, from Brazile to the campaign, was included in yesterday's release of hacked emails by WikiLeaks of Clinton campaign chair John Podesta. Here's what the record shows: On March 12, Brazile, then vice chair of the DNC and a CNN and ABC contributor, allegedly wrote an email with the subject line "From time to time I get the questions in advance."

"It is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to," Trump said in a tweet that raised the prospect of a full on civil war in the Republican Party.

Trump campaign accuses Justice Department of 'collusion' with Clinton over email probe after Wikileaks reveals it tipped off her aide to hearing | 11 Oct 2016 | The Department of Justice is facing allegations of 'collusion' over its handling of the probe into Hillary Clinton's secret email server. Donald Trump's campaign questioned the integrity of the investigation after an email on Wikileaks in which one of Clinton's aides said he had had 'DOJ folks inform me' about a hearing. The actual message was not part of the leak beyond an apparent start to it saying: 'Hey Brian, This was filed tonight.' The message, from Brian Fallon, her national press spokesman, was sent to Huma Abedin, her right-hand woman, and appears to have been copied to John Podesta, whose emails were leaked.

Barry claimed a motive for Zervos's actions, saying she turned on the business tycoon after he snubbed the email from her, dated April 14, 2016...Barry said he was 'shocked and bewildered' by Zervos, adding: 'For almost a decade, my cousin would talk about how much she looked up to Mr. Trump and viewed him as an inspiration - a success story she wanted to copy. She has praised the good things he's done for her life, and in fact she converted her friends and our family to become Trump supporters even though we've never been active in politics before. That was until Summer invited Mr. Trump to her restaurant during the primary and he said no,' Barry claimed.

In a conference call with congressional Republicans, Ryan all but conceded that Democrat Hillary Clinton was likely to win the White House on Nov. 8 and said he would put his full energy into preserving Republican majorities in Congress...Ryan, the speaker of the House of Representatives, said he would not defend Trump or campaign for him after the uproar over the New York businessman's lewd comments that surfaced on Friday.
