NAME: Trudy *Scheduled for euthanasia Friday 1/25 OR SOONER..DEPENDS ON SPACE* Trudy is elderly and moves slowly but is a very sweet dog. Trudy has luxating patelas and is getting pain meds to keep her comfortable.*

*NOTE* Per shelter, Trudy has "luxating patellas and possibly surgery to repair." In the mean time, the shelter is keeping Trudy comfortable and on pain medication. Trudy is desperately in need of someone to step up for her! Shelter staff also think she is house-broken. Please share and help spread the word for Trudy!

Volunteer Notes 1-19: I saw this small/medium little girl today. She did not bark and seemed to be shy/calm? but by no means acted afraid. Others were barking around her and she remained quiet, just watching us walk by;)

UPDATE: EXTREMELY URGENT! NEEDS TAGGED AS...AP!
"Zin: extensive wounds on neck and upper torso, due to untreated demodectic mange with secondary pyoderma and alopecia. She is on antibiotics, but this will not resolve the demodex. She is sweet, gentle, and very social, I would guess her to be a lab mixed with some shar-pei. Extremely urgent as this advanced condition will cause her some suffering unless she receives treatment

Tonight, 7 dogs and 4 cats are on the kill list at Animal Care & Control in NYC. Here are Three AC&C Facts:

Fact #1: AC&C is required by law to hold board meetings that are open to the public. Instead, AC&C throws meetings with almost no notice given to the public, and holds them during the workday in a Department of Health room that does not fit even half of the lines of people waiting to get inside.

Fact #2: At the last board meeting, Executive Director Julie Bank repeatedly lied to the public about AC&C's performance -- notably by claiming that Adoptions have increased. In her PowerPoint slide, she lumped Rescue Placements in with Adoptions in order to arrive at that lie.
